Shared Care Services Ltd is an independent domiciliary care agency, registered and regulated by Care Quality Commission (CQC). Shared Care Services has been providing creative and quality domiciliary care services to children and adults with disabilities since its inception in 2004. Shared Care Services is managed by professionally qualified Social Workers with more than 20 years of field experience.

We are prefered provider to number of local authorities including London Borough of Redbridge and Haringey. Recently we have been sucessful in securing   a contract to provide services to East London Solutions (“ELS”) member authorities i.e. Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham, and Havering.

Shared Care Services Ltd aims to be an organisation of excellence in Social Care Services. In November 2006, we were successful in attaining ISO 9001-2000 for its Quality Management Systems. We measure the quality of our service through consultation and feedbacks. Overall service user’s satisfaction is measured through our quality assurance system. Service users are requested to provide free and frank feedback, which helps us in assessing the quality of services we offer to them.

We support and care for service users who wish to remain in their own homes, continuing to enjoy independent living to the greatest possible extent. Our aim is to provide skilled, experienced, friendly and professionally trained care staff to work with service users in partnership with their carers to aid independence and to improve the quality of life and enable them to live fulfilling life within their home or to support them in the community. At Shared Care, we strive to achieve and maintain high quality services and attain highest possible service user satisfaction.

We offer a full range of practical and personal help tailored to service user requirements. We have been providing domiciliary care support services to children and adults with disabilities i.e. learning, physical, visual and sensory, including those who display difficult and challenging behaviour with a view to support and enable service users to live within family/community environment. Our services are available short or long term, from a 30 minute call to 24 hour care. We are here to advise about the best way to fulfil service user’s care needs but we always understand that everyone is different and therefore will want different things within their care arrangements. We understand that service user’s needs or wishes may change, and we are happy to review the care at regular intervals in order to make changes as and when it is required.

We work in partnership with service users and their carers and involve service users in their care as far as possible. It is essential to ensure that the service user remains the focus of the support package and that their preferences and opinions are listened  and acted upon when planning and delivering the service.

We provide professional, person centered, well managed, cost effective outcome based driven services that ensures achieving best outcome for service users. Our services include befriending, therapeutic activities/programmes to address difficult/challenging behaviour, support, assistance and encouragement in developing personal care skills/independence skills, mobility training and providing outreach support services in the community. Over 60% of our current service users have been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD.  

We have been able to enhance communication by speaking with service users in their preferred language and understanding other methods of communications i.e. BSL, Makaton, PECS, use of non-verbal, expression etc. We are already supporting Service Users from diverse backgrounds and have recruited staff to reflect service users’ cultural heritage.

We believe that where we are able to provide staff from similar cultural backgrounds to eases communication and benefits service users and their family immensely. We have the capacity to provide staffs who are fluent in South Asian Languages, African languages. In total our staffs speaks 19 different languages other than English e.g. Urdu, Hindi, Somali, Yoruba, Arabic, Bengali/Sylehti, Punjabi, Guajarati etc. We have a provision of back up staff to cover any absences and work during holidays. We also have enough staff to cater for any emergency situations.

All our carers are CRB checked and receive continual training throughout their time at Shared Care Services. We undertake spot checks & audits to ensure the clients are receiving the best care possible. We also keep an open line of communication with our service users so if they have any concerns, night or day, we can address them straight away.
